Dear Students, Families, and Members of the St. Andrew Junior School Community,
Welcome to a new school year at St. Andrew Junior School!
Our staff have been working hard to prepare for the year ahead, and we are incredibly excited to welcome our students back through the doors. We are looking forward to an amazing year filled with learning, growth, new experiences, and opportunities for students to become active and positive members of our school community.
Positive connections with our staff, students, families, and the broader school community are so important to us. We want every student to feel that they belong, that they are supported, and that they have an important role to play in our school. We value and celebrate the diversity of our school community and believe that the identities, cultures, experiences, strengths, and perspectives our students and families bring make St. Andrew Junior School a stronger and richer place to learn and grow.
We encourage all of our students to come to school each day with a positive attitude, an open mind, and a willingness to learn and participate. There will be many opportunities throughout the year for students to take on leadership roles, get involved in extracurricular activities, participate in school events, and discover new interests and talents. We are excited to see our students step forward, get involved, and make a difference in our school community.
A Few Important Reminders
Families are reminded that essential school supplies are purchased by the school, so there is no need to purchase the basic supplies students will require for their classes.
We are also pleased to continue offering breakfast and lunch programs to support our students.
Parents and guardians play an essential role in helping students have a positive and successful experience at school. We recognize that strong partnerships between home and school are an important part of student success, and we value the support, encouragement, and communication that families provide each day.
If you ever have a question, concern, or simply need clarification about something happening at school, please do not hesitate to reach out. Families are always welcome to contact their child’s teacher, another staff member, or administration. We want to work together with families to ensure that every has a voice and every student has a successful and positive school experience.
As we begin the year, teachers will also be sharing their communication plans with families. These plans will provide information about how teachers will communicate important updates, classroom information, student learning, and upcoming events throughout the school year. I will also be sending out a weekly flash updating you through SchoolMessenger every Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
Finally, we are very much looking forward to welcoming families to our Meet the Teacher evening: Thursday, September 17, 2026, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, learn more about the year ahead, and begin building the positive connections that are so important to our school community.
We are excited about the year ahead and all that our students will accomplish. Thank you for your continued support of St. Andrew Junior School. Together, we can make this an outstanding year for every student.
